Holodiscus discolor

Holodiscus discolor is a shrub native to North America. In our climate, it reaches approximately 3 meters in height.

The decorative, cream-colored flowers are arranged in hanging panicles 20 cm long. It blooms in late June and early July.

The edible berries, clustered in clusters, are suitable for making liqueurs!

The leaves are green, broadly ovate, and variegated, turning orange and red in autumn.

Holodiscus discolor has no soil requirements. It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations. It is frost- and drought-resistant.

Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.

The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.

Seed Handling Guide:

It's best to sow seeds in the fall to allow them to undergo the cold period necessary for germination, or stratify them in the refrigerator for approximately 30-60 days before sowing in the spring.

After this process, prepare a light, well-drained, yet fertile mix of garden soil and compost or sand. Sow the seeds at the surface, only lightly covering them with a thin layer of soil or perlite. Keep the soil moderately moist at all times, but avoid overwatering. Provide a bright location, but not in direct sunlight.

SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
