Ficus glomerata
Ficus glomerata is a species of plant in the mulberry family. It grows naturally in China, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and many other countries around the world.
It reaches up to 30 meters in height.
The leaves are helically arranged, with membranous, oval-shaped stipules at the base. The leaf blade is elliptical, usually rounded at the base. Light green underneath, dark green above. The leaves are hairy when young, becoming bald with age.
The fig flowers are small, borne on the inner wall. Inflorescences usually grow on short branches from older shoots. Male and female flowers are found in the same fig.
The fruits, called figs, contain numerous nuts in a fleshy sheath. Ripe figs are orange-red and grow in pairs on stalks up to 1 cm long.
