Crataegus monogyna

Crataegus monogyna is a shrub native to Western Asia. It grows up to 8 meters tall.

The plant has medicinal properties! Both the flowers and the berries of the hawthorn plant have medicinal properties.

Hawthorn berries are used to make tinctures and infusions used to treat hypertension and heart disease, lower cholesterol, improve circulation, and strengthen the body.

The creamy white flowers, gathered in umbels, begin blooming in late May and early June.

The spherical, dark brown berries ripen in late August and early October.

Hawthorn berries can be used to make jams, marmalades, purees, jellies, and jellies. They are also suitable for wines, liqueurs, and teas.

Crataegus monogyna has no special soil requirements. It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations. It is completely frost-hardy.

Each order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.

The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.

Seed Handling Instructions:

Seeds should be stratified – stored in moist sand at a low temperature of 0-5°C (32-41°F) over the winter until spring.

In spring, sow the prepared seeds in a cold bed, in a mixture of compost, peat, and sand, and place them in a sunny location. Maintain moisture, but avoid overwatering.
