Pistacia chinensis

Pistacia chinensis is a small, ornamental tree native to China, as its name suggests. In our climate, it reaches a modest height of about 2 meters.

This plant is suitable for bonsai!

Fragrant, red flowers, clustered in panicles. It blooms in late May and early June.

Edible fruit, spherical pistachios, are blue when ripe.

Pinnate leaves, dark green in summer, turn orange-red in autumn.

Pistacia chinensis requires fertile, well-drained soil. It prefers a sunny location.

Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.

The seeds we offer are of high quality and suitable for both nurseries and amateurs.

Seed Handling Instructions:

Place the seeds in a container of water for approximately 24 hours.

Transfer the soaked seeds to a container of moist soil and stratify for approximately 60 days at a temperature of 0 to 5°C. After this process, remove the container from the refrigerator and move it to a warm place. Maintain constant humidity and monitor the seeds.

Once the seeds have germinated and developed at least two leaves, transplant them into separate, larger pots.
