Viburnum lantana

Viburnum lantana is a dense, wide-growing shrub native to Europe, northwest Africa, and western and southern Asia.

It reaches 3-5 meters in height.

The leaves are wrinkled, ovate, matte green above and gray-green below. They turn yellow in autumn.

The flowers are white, fragrant, gathered in hemispherical inflorescences that appear in June.

The berries are initially bright red, but black when fully ripe. The berries grow in clusters and beautifully decorate the garden in winter.

Viburnum lantana grows best in alkaline and fertile soil.

It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations.

It is frost-hardy.

Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required. The seeds we offer are of high quality and designed for both nurserymen and amateurs.

Seed Handling Instructions:

Soak the seeds in water for approximately 24 hours. Place the seeds with the moist soil in a container or ziplock bag and refrigerate for 3 to 12 weeks, monitoring the temperature, which should be around 3-8°C. Air the seeds regularly by opening the container for a few minutes. Once the stratification process is complete, sow the seeds in pots or in the ground. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil or sand.

Maintain moisture, but avoid overwatering.

Provide a sunny or partially shaded location.
