Morus nigra
Morus nigra is a shrub or tree reaching a height of 10-15 m, with a spreading, dense, spherical crown.
Mulberries can be pruned to prevent excessive spreading or shaped as a hedge. This plant can also be grown as bonsai.
The mulberry's special advantage is its tasty and healthy, edible fruit.
They are used to make marmalade, syrup, wine, and liqueurs, and can be eaten raw.
Morus nigra has no special soil requirements, growing even in sandy soil. It thrives in both sunny and shaded areas.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Seeds require stratification before sowing - mix the seeds with moist soil, then place them in a container or plastic ziplock bag and refrigerate for 2-3 months.
After this process, sow directly into the ground in spring.
You can also sow the seeds outdoors in late autumn to allow them to naturally stratify.
