Aralia elata

Aralia elata is a shrub native to Japan. It grows up to 5 meters tall and is known as the tall Aralia.

The fragrant white flowers, gathered in umbrella-shaped corymbs, begin blooming in late July and early September.

The round, black fruits, clustering in clusters of a dozen or so, ripen in autumn.

The leaves, approximately 1 meter long, cluster at the tips of the shoots. They turn various colors in autumn.

The leaves are particularly ornamental. The shoots are covered with short thorns. It is suitable for a hedge.

Aralia elata requires fertile soil. It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations, sheltered from the wind. It is completely frost-hardy.

Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required. The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.

Seed Handling Instructions:

It is recommended to stratify the seeds, i.e., subject them to a period of cold weather to increase germination. The stratification period should last approximately 13 weeks.

If using boxes or pots, prepare a well-draining substrate.

After sowing, keep the soil slightly moist and provide a bright location, but protected from direct sunlight.

SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
