Sambucus nigra

Sambucus nigra is a large shrub native to Europe. In our climate, it reaches approximately 10 meters in height.

The fruit, round, navy blue berries, ripen in clusters in late September and early October and are suitable for preserves.

The creamy-white flowers, arranged in corymbs, are fragrant. It blooms in late May and early July. The plant is a melliferous plant!

The leaves are dark green, large, up to 30 cm long, ovate-elliptical, and seasonal.

The plant has medicinal properties, including: detoxifying, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, and antipyretic. The fruit and flowers contain vitamins A, B, and C, as well as minerals such as magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium, iron, and zinc.

The elderberry has no soil requirements. It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations. It is frost-resistant.

Each order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.

The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
