Elaeocarpus Ganitrus
Elaeocarpus Ganitrus is a large, deciduous evergreen tree that grows from the Himalayas to Southeast Asia. It grows up to 40 meters tall. The plant holds great significance in Hindu religion. The leaves have wavy, serrated edges that taper to a petiole. Old leaves often turn bright red before falling. The flowers are arranged in clusters up to 100 mm long, each flower on a peduncle. The five petals are creamy white, ovate or oblong, and the tip has linear leaflets. There are 35 to 60 stamens. The fruit is a roughly spherical, light blue or purple drupe, 15–23 mm in diameter. SEEDS AVAILABLE BY ORDER ONLY.
