Viburnum opulus

Viburnum opulus is a shrub native to Northern Asia and Europe. It grows to a height of 3-5 meters.

The plant has medicinal properties! It is primarily used to treat female ailments.

The white flowers, gathered in corymbs approximately 10 cm in diameter, begin blooming at the turn of May and July.

The spherical, shiny, red fruits, gathered in clusters, ripen in August and September and persist on the plant for a long time. They contain high levels of pectin, sugars, organic acids, tannins, carotene, vitamins C and P. Suitable for preserves!

The leaves are dark green, opposite, lobed, up to 12 cm long, turning scarlet-purple in autumn.

Viburnum opulus has no special soil requirements. It prefers sunny or partially sunny, sheltered locations. It is completely frost-hardy.

Each order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.

The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.

Seed Handling Instructions:

Soak the seeds in water for approximately 12–24 hours. Mix the seeds with a moist substrate such as sand or peat.

Place them in a cool place at a temperature no higher than 5°C.

Stratification lasts approximately 7 months. Make sure the substrate does not dry out, but avoid overwatering.

SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
