Asimina triloba
Asimina triloba is a small tree or large shrub with a broad, spherical crown, native to North America. In our climate, it reaches approximately 3 meters in height.
The showy, bell-shaped, purple-brown flowers, 5 cm in diameter, bloom in late May and early June.
The edible fruit, berries, are up to 15 cm long and very tasty, ripening in October.
The ornamental, dark green, large leaves grow up to 30 cm long and turn yellow-orange in autumn.
The plant has medicinal properties. The fruit is rich in iron, calcium, and vitamins. The leaves, in turn, contain substances with anticancer and antiviral properties.
Asimina triloba requires moist, well-drained soil. It prefers sunny or partly sunny locations and is frost-resistant.
The photo above shows seeds of the plant included in this offer. The photo does not represent the quantity of seeds included in the offer; it is merely a preview image illustrating the size of the seeds.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
The package contains 10 grams of seeds, approximately +/- 10 seeds (quantity determined based on the weight of one seed).
Seed Handling:
The seeds should first be soaked for 24 hours and then cold stratified for approximately 4-6 weeks. After this process, place the seeds in a light, well-drained substrate. Do not bury them deeply; simply press them gently into the soil or cover them with a very thin layer of substrate. Water the freshly sown seeds and maintain a constant, but not excessive, humidity. Maintain a constant temperature of approximately 20-25°C during this time. Initially, you can cover the container with plastic wrap or a glass lid to maintain high humidity, but remember to ventilate.
SEEDS ARE FOR SOWING ONLY!
