Phyllostachys nigra

Phyllostachys nigra is a frost-hardy bamboo native to China.

It grows up to 3-6 meters tall.

Ideal for modern gardens and oriental arrangements.

It is distinguished by its shiny black shoots.

The leaves are small, narrow, lanceolate, dark green, and glossy.

Phyllostachys nigra prefers well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil.

It prefers sunny or partially shaded, sheltered locations. It is frost-hardy to approximately -20°C.

In colder regions, it is recommended to cover the plant for the winter, especially in the first few years after planting.

Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.

The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.

Seed Handling Instructions:

Soak the seeds in warm water for approximately 8 hours before sowing, then place them horizontally in a well-drained substrate to a depth of approximately 0.5 cm. The optimal temperature for germination is 25°C (77°F). The substrate should be constantly moist, and the seedlings need plenty of light and warmth, at least 20°C (68°F).

SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
