Cassia grandis
Cassia grandis is one of the most beautiful tropical forest trees. This species is found from southern Mexico to Venezuela and Ecuador.
It reaches up to 30 meters in height.
The tree's leaves are pinnate and deciduous, with 10-20 pairs of leaflets.
This tree is particularly famous for producing breathtaking coral-pink flowers arranged in pendulous inflorescences in early spring, followed by long, narrow seed pods.
The long, woody fruit capsules reach up to 50 cm in length and contain numerous seeds, separated by resinous membranes that taste somewhat like carob.
Cassia grandis prefers a sunny location.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required. The seeds we offer are high-quality and designed for both nurserymen and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Soak seeds in boiling water for about 5 minutes before sowing.
Use a light, well-drained soil, preferably with sand or perlite.
Place the seeds on the ground and cover them with a thin layer of sand or soil, about 0.5–2 cm deep.
After sowing, water thoroughly and cover the container with clear plastic wrap or glass to maintain humidity.
Place the container in a warm place and ensure adequate humidity.
SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
