BARRINGOTNIA RACEMOSA (Barringtonia racemosa)
Barringtonia racemosa is a tree found on the edges of estuaries in the Indian Ocean.
It grows up to 20 meters tall.
The leaves are alternate, short-stalked or sessile, and have thin, leathery leaf blades that are green, teardrop-shaped, slightly serrated at the edges, and with short tips.
The flowers are pendulous, large, and fragrant, with red sepals, white petals, and white, pink, or red stamens.
The fruit is usually single-seeded and pear-shaped.
Requires fertile, loamy soil, moist soil, and well-drained soil. It prefers a sunny or partly sunny location.
