Taxodium distichum
Taxodium distichum is a large tree with a conical, rounded shape, native to North America. In our climate, it reaches approximately 30 meters in height.
The fruit is a spherical cone, up to 3 cm long.
The needles are light green and soft, turning dark orange in autumn.
Taxodium distichum requires slightly acidic, moist, or even wet soil. It prefers sunny or partly sunny, sheltered locations. It is frost-resistant.
Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Seeds require stratification; place them in a closed container and refrigerate for approximately 30-60 days.
It's best to sow them in early spring in pots or cold frames.
Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil or vermiculite.
Provide a warm, bright location and consistently moist (but not wet) soil.
SEEDS ARE FOR SOWING ONLY!
