Mimosa pudica

Mimosa pudica is an evergreen ornamental shrub native to the tropical forests of South America. It grows up to 1 meter tall.

The plant has a distinctive seismic ability! It folds its leaves within seconds of being touched.

Small, fluffy, pink-purple flowers are borne in the axils of the upper leaves. Flowering begins from July to October.

The leaves are alternate, bipinnate, with one or two pairs of leaflets.

This exceptionally striking plant can be grown in pots on window sills, as well as in the summer on balconies, terraces, and gardens.

Mimosa pudica prefers a sunny location and requires regular and abundant watering.

Every order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required. The seeds we offer are of high quality and designed for both nurseries and amateurs.

Seed Handling Instructions:

Before sowing, soak the seeds in warm water for about 2-4 hours. Place them in shallow pots with well-drained, slightly acidic soil and lightly cover with soil. Maintain a temperature of around 20-24°C and provide a bright location with indirect light.
