Passiflora quadrangularis
Giant passionflower is a vine native to the Americas, primarily Brazil.
It grows up to 40 meters in length.
The leaves are large, broadly heart-shaped, ovate, or elliptical, and intensely green.
The flowers are spectacular, fragrant, and 8–12 cm in diameter. They are characterized by contrasting coloration, white or reddish petals, a violet-purple corolla, and a yellow interior.
The fruits are yellow-orange, thick-skinned, and have aromatic, sweet-sour flesh, ideal for juices and jellies.
Giant passionflower requires fertile, well-drained, and constantly moist soil. It prefers full sun and a warm location.
Each order is accompanied by a receipt or (upon request) an invoice, a delivery note compliant with WIORiN requirements, and a plant passport, if required.
The seeds we offer are of high quality and intended for both nurseries and amateurs.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Soak the seeds in warm water for approximately 24-48 hours. After soaking, plant them approximately 0.5-1 cm deep in light, well-drained soil, preferably a peat and sand mixture or specialized peat discs. Ensure a bright location, and the temperature must be high, at least 20-25°C. Cover the pot with plastic wrap or a clear lid to ensure high humidity. Aerate and mist the soil regularly.
SEEDS ARE INTENDED FOR SOWING ONLY!
