Cunninghamia lanceolata is an evergreen, exotic conifer native to southern and eastern China, as well as northern Vietnam.

It reaches up to 30 meters in height.

It has a conical shape and reddish-brown, scaly bark.

The needles are stiff, leathery, prickly, and arranged in a spiral pattern.

The cones are small, spherical, reddish-brown, and up to 4 cm in diameter.

Cunninghamia lanceolata requires fertile, moist, but well-drained soil.

It prefers a sunny or partly sunny location.
