Toona sinensis is an exceptionally ornamental tree from China.

It grows up to 15 meters high. The plant has healing properties!

The fruit, bark and roots of the plant are used in traditional Chinese medicine, including: help with allergies and skin diseases.

White flowers, very numerous, gathered in panicles up to 40 cm long.

Multicolored, pinnate leaves, gradually changing color, up to 50 cm long.

The young leaves have an onion flavor and are used as a vegetable, while the older leaves are used to make herbal tea.

The plant has no special soil requirements, except very dry and acidic ones.

It prefers sunny and sheltered positions. Frost resistance up to -25 degrees.
