Tilia platyphyllos

Tilia platyphyllos is a large deciduous tree with a spreading, dense, conical crown, native to Europe and southwestern Asia. In our climate, it reaches about 30 meters in height.

Fragrant, light yellow flowers, gathered in hanging inflorescences, bloom at the turn of June and July. The plant is melliferous!

Large, heart-shaped, dark green leaves, turning yellow in autumn.

Spherical fruit, winged nuts.
Tilia platyphyllos requires fertile, fresh, humus soil. Prefers sunny or semi-sunny locations. Resistant to frost.
