Tecoma stans is a species of flowering perennial shrub from the vine family. It comes from the area from the south of the USA to Argentina
It reaches up to 10m in height.
Leaves are bare on both sides, have a lanceolate blade and a pointed top.
Flowers are large, showy, yellow, trumpet-shaped, gathered in clusters at the ends of the branches. They attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. The flower corolla is bell-shaped or funnel-shaped.
Fruits in the form of narrow capsules grow from two pistils and reach a length of up to 25 cm.
