Styrax japonica

Styrax japonica is a tall shrub that comes from Japan, as its name suggests. It grows up to 5 meters high.

White flowers with a pink hue, hanging in groups on long pedicels, fragrant. They bloom abundantly from June to the end of July.

The plant is melliferous!

Round drupe fruit, light green in color.

Lanceolate leaves, stiff, dark green, shiny, in autumn they turn a beautiful yellow and red.

Styrax japonica requires humus, clay-sandy, moist soil. It prefers sunny or semi-sunny, sheltered positions. Frost resistance up to -26 degrees.
