Robinia pseudoacacia is a deciduous tree with a rounded, irregular and loose crown, originating from the eastern part of North America. In our climate conditions it reaches about 20 meters in height.
Fragrant, white flowers, gathered in clusters, bloom at the turn of May and June. The plant is melliferous, honey yield is about 65 kg per 1 hectare!
Fruits are brown pods, containing seeds inside.
Leaves are green, elliptical or ovate, turning yellow in autumn.
Robinia pseudoacacia has no soil requirements. It prefers sunny or semi-sunny locations. Resistant to frost.
