Rhus thypina is a shrub or low-stemmed tree reaching a height of 5-6 m, with an umbrella-like crown of a regular spherical shape
It is one of the most popular ornamental plants in our country. It is sometimes planted in parks, gardens, squares.
A special value of sumac is its beautiful large burgundy fruit heads, which remain on the branches of the plant even in winter.
The leaves of sumac are large (approx. 50 cm), consisting of many smaller ones. In autumn, they change colour to various intensive colours, constituting an extraordinary decorative value of the garden.
Rhus thypina has no special soil requirements, it grows even in sandy soil. It grows both in sunny and shaded places.
It is completely resistant to low temperatures (even down to -30 degrees) and air pollution.
