Quercus rubra

Quercus rubra is a large tree with a spreading crown, originating from the eastern part of North America. In our climate, it reaches about 20 meters in height.

Flowers are catkins, cream-colored. It blooms at the turn of May and June.

Fruits are acorns, broadly ovate, red-brown, shiny.

Leaves are dark green, large, helically arranged, lobed, in autumn they turn red and orange.

Quercus rubra has no soil requirements. It prefers sunny or semi-sunny locations. Resistant to frost.
