Prunus serotina

Prunus serotina is a tree or shrub from the Rosaceae family, which comes from North America. It grows to a height of up to 20 m.

It can be freely trimmed and shaped.

This plant can also be grown as bonsai.
Prunus serotina has no special soil requirements, it grows even in sandy soil. It is completely frost-resistant, grows both in sunny and shaded places.

It blooms in May and June in the form of small, erect, long clusters of creamy white color.

The black fruits are spherical, the size of a pea. They are used to produce liqueurs, wines, juices and jams.
