Pritchardia grandis

Pritchardia grandis is a fast-growing palm with large fan leaves. It probably comes from Tonga in the southwestern Pacific.
It grows to 10 m tall.
Leaves round, glossy, simple, undivided and closely pleated.
Inflorescences up to 2 m long, pendulous, growing at the base of the leaves, usually longer than the leaves.
Flowers bisexual, small, white-yellow, in autumn develop into small, round, decorative, berry-like fruits.
Each berry contains a single, green seed, which matures to a bright red color.
