Pritchardia grandis is a fast-growing palm with large fan leaves. It probably originated from Tonga in the southwestern Pacific, although its origins are somewhat unclear today.
It grows to 10 meters high.
Leaves round, glossy, simple, undivided and closely pleated.
Inflorescences up to 2m long, pendulous, growing at the base of the leaves, usually longer than the leaves.
Flowers are small, white-yellow, in autumn round, decorative fruits develop, resembling a berry.
