Poncirus trifoliata

Poncirus trifoliata is a shrub native to China and Korea. It grows to 2-4 meters in height.

The flowers are white, up to 5 cm in diameter, fragrant, and begin to bloom at the turn of April and June, before the leaves develop. The plant is melliferous!

Fruits are yellow-green berries up to 5 cm in diameter, ripening at the turn of October and November. They are suitable for preserves!

The leaves consist of three leaflets, intensely green and shiny, turning yellow-orange in autumn.

Poncirus trifoliata has no special soil requirements. It prefers sunny, sheltered positions. Frost resistance up to -20 degrees.
