Polyalthia longifolia is a species of evergreen plant native to India and Sri Lanka. It is also cultivated in other warm regions of Asia.
It reaches a height of 20 m.
The leaf blade is wavy on the edge, with a pointed tip. The leaf petiole is naked.
The flowers are gathered in dense inflorescences, developing in the axils of the shoots. The sepals of the calyx are triangular in shape, hairy on the outside. The petals are lanceolate in shape and greenish-yellow in color.
The fruits are single, ovoid in shape. They are naked, set on pedicels. They reach 20–25 mm in length.
