Podocarpus macrophyllus

Podocarpus macrophyllus is an evergreen plant found in Japan and southern and eastern China.
It reaches a height of 20 m.
The plant is easy to shape, suitable for hedges or bonsai.
The needles are dark green, narrow and lanceolate.
The cones are set on a short stem and have 2 to 4 scales.
The mature scales swell and become reddish-purple, fleshy, resembling berries.
