The most valuable decorative value of Passiflora edulis edible are its large flowers. They consist of 10 white or white-green petals, surrounding a ring of purple-white stamen filaments. In the center of the flower are large, light green stamens and pistils.
After a long and hot summer, Passiflora edulis sets yellow or purple fruits. They are commonly called passion fruit, have an ovoid shape and reach a length of 5 cm.
