Nerium oleander

Nerium oleander belongs to the Apocynaceae family and comes from the Mediterranean basin.
In Poland, it is grown as a potted plant for balconies and terraces.
In its natural environment, it can grow up to 3-4 m. In pot cultivation, it usually does not exceed 50-150 cm in height.
The leaves are rich green, thick, leathery and shiny. Their shape somewhat resembles the foliage of a weeping willow, but they do not hang down. They grow stiffly from the stem at an almost right angle.
The flowers are gathered at the tops. They can be single or double in white, pink, purple or red. They are known for their strong scent, although it is worth knowing that there are scentless flowers.
