Myrica rubra
Myrica rubra is a fruity, evergreen shrub from south-east Asia. It reaches about 10 meters in height.
The fruits are spherical, red, edible, sweet, suitable for preserves!
Dark green, shiny, leathery, lacente leaves.
The flowers are dark red, small, blooming profusely.
The plant has healing properties!
Myrica rubra requires slightly acidic, permeable and moist soil. It prefers sunny or semi-sunny positions.
Seed Handling Instructions:
Soak the seeds in water for approximately 24 hours.
After soaking, place the seeds in a container with moist, acidic soil and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate the container (at approximately 4°C) for approximately 3 months.
In March or April, after the stratification period, remove the container with seeds and place it outdoors, protecting it from frost.
Cover the seeds with a thin layer of acidic soil and then mist thoroughly with a spray bottle.
