Morus alba

Morus alba is a shrub or tree reaching a height of 10-15 m, with a spreading, dense, spherical crown.

Mulberries can be pruned to prevent excessive growth or shaped as a hedge. This plant can also be grown as bonsai.

A special advantage of mulberries is their tasty and healthy, edible fruit.

They are used to produce marmalade, syrup, wines and liqueurs and can be eaten raw.

Morus alba has no special soil requirements, it grows even in sandy soil. It grows in both sunny and shaded places.
