Malus sylvestris

Malus sylvestris is a type of apple tree that grows wild in almost all of Europe. It is cultivated in many countries around the world.

It reaches up to 10 m in height

Leaves are helically arranged, elliptical, up to 6.5 cm long. Bracts fall off early.

Flowers are white-pink, quite large, gathered in several in umbel-shaped inflorescences.

Fruits reach up to 4 cm in diameter, are yellow-green, sometimes slightly red, with a sour taste
