Magnolia soulangeana

Magnolia soulangeana is a shrub or small tree with a wide spherical crown, originating from France. In our climate conditions it reaches about 3 meters in height.

Decorative flowers of pink and white color, large up to 12 cm long, fragrant. It blooms in April before the leaves develop.

Fruits similar in shape to cones. Ripe are red.

Leaves are green, large, inversely ovate, falling in winter.

Magnolia soulangeana requires fertile soil with a slightly acidic pH. It prefers sunny, sheltered positions. Resistant to frost.
