Liriodendron tulipifera

Liriodendron tulipifera  is a magnificent tree from the southeastern part of North America. It grows to a height of 16-18 meters.

The plant is considered one of the most beautiful ornamental trees in the world!

Flowers green-yellow with orange spots, cup-shaped, resembling tulips, begin to bloom at the turn of June and July. The plant is melliferous!

Fruits winged nuts up to 10 cm long composed of brownish samaras, ripen in October or November.

Leaves large, green, lobed, shiny, turn yellow and orange in autumn.

Liriodendron tulipifera requires fertile, humus and fresh soil. Prefers sunny, sheltered positions. Completely frost-resistant.
