Laurus nobilis

Laurus nobilis is an evergreen shrub belonging to the laurel family, originating from the Mediterranean regions. In our climate conditions it reaches a small height.

The plant has medicinal properties! Among other things, in the treatment of the upper digestive system, as well as in relieving pain during arthritis.

Yellow flowers, gathered in inflorescences. It blooms abundantly at the turn of March and April.

Dark green, lacent, shiny, leathery leaves, up to 10 cm long. When crushed, they give off a characteristic sweet smell.

Round fruit, black-blue berries. Ripens at the turn of September and November.

Laurus nobilis requires slightly acidic soil. Prefers sunny or semi-sunny locations.
