Lantana camara
Lantana camara is an evergreen subshrub belonging to the Verbenaceae family. In its natural environment, it occurs in South America, Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean Islands.
In its natural environment, it reaches over 3m in height, but in Poland it is usually three times shorter.
The leaves are green, sparse, wrinkled, ovoid in shape and about 10cm long.
The flowers are small, of various diameters, set on capitate inflorescences. A characteristic feature is that during flowering, the flowers change their color from yellow, through orange, to red.
The fruit is a black, spherical drupe
