Jacaranda mimosifolia

Jacaranda mimosifolia is a tree from South America. It grows up to 6 meters high.

Flowers are bell-shaped, fragrant, lavender-blue, up to 5 centimeters long, gathered in panicles, bloom very abundantly from spring to July. The plant is suitable for bonsai!

Fruits are woody capsules with winged seeds. Leaves are decorative, evergreen, pinnate, pointed, large up to 40 cm long. The mimosifolia jacaranda requires fertile, permeable soil. It prefers sunny locations. Frost resistance up to -8 degrees.
