Gliricidia

Gliricidia is a fast-growing, nitrogen-absorbing exotic shrub from Kenya.
It grows from 10m to 20m tall.
The leaves are pinnate, about 30cm long. The middle of the leaf is sometimes covered with red stripes.
The flowers are light pink or lilac, with a shade of white, usually with a yellow spot at the base of the petal, the calyx is naked, green, often with a shade of red. The petal is round and almost erect.
The pods are green, sometimes tinged with red or purple when unripe. Light yellow-brown when ripe.
