Erythrina indica

Erythrina indica is a showy, medium-sized deciduous tree. It reaches about 20 meters in height. Red flowers, collected in panicles up to 20 cm long. Light green, heart-shaped, shiny leaves.
Fruits seed pods up to 40 cm long.
Erythrina indica requires moderately fertile, permeable and moderately moist soil. It prefers sunny positions.

Seed Handling Instructions:

Soak the seeds in hot water to soften their hard shell and enhance germination.

Sow the seeds in well-drained soil.

Keep the soil consistently moist but not overwatered.
