Dalbergia sissoo

Dalbergia sissoo is a fast-growing, hardy, deciduous rose tree, native to the Indian subcontinent and southern Iran. It grows to 2.5 meters in height. The leaves are leathery, alternate, pinnately compound and are about 15 cm long. The flowers are white or pink, fragrant, up to 1.5 cm long, gathered in dense clusters 5 to 10 cm long. The pods are light brown, oblong, flat, thin, resembling straps.
