Cornus florida

Cornus florida is an impressive shrub with a wide habit, originating from North America. In our climate conditions it reaches about 5 meters in height.

Decorative flowers, yellow-green, gathered in inflorescences. It blooms before the leaves develop, at the turn of April and May.

Fruits are shiny red berries, remaining on the tree until late winter.

Dark green, ovate-elliptical leaves, in autumn they take on a reddish-carmine color.

Cornus florida requires fertile, humus, slightly acidic soil. It prefers sunny or semi-sunny locations. Not completely frost-resistant.
