Colutea arborescens

Colutea arborescens is a loose shrub native to southern Europe and northern African countries. It grows to 3-5 meters in height.

The plant is melliferous!

Flowers yellow-red, papilionaceous, gathered in clusters, very numerous, blooming from May and blooming until frost.

Fruits swollen pods, first red, then grayish up to 8 cm long, remaining on the plant until spring.

Leaves light green, compound up to 13 cm long.

Colutea arborescens do not have special soil requirements. They prefer sunny or semi-sunny locations. Complete frost resistance.
