Cedrus atlantica is a large tree with a spreading, loose habit, native to the Atlas Mountains in northwest Africa. In our climate, it reaches approximately 10 meters in height.
The fruit is light brown, with cylindrical cones up to 7 cm long.
The needles are bluish-green in bunches of 30-40, up to 2 cm long, and grow year-round.
This plant is suitable for bonsai!
Cedrus atlantica requires slightly acidic soil and moderate moisture. It prefers sunny or partially sunny, sheltered locations. It is frost-hardy.
