Bombax ceiba

Bombax ceiba is an Asian tropical tree native to southern India and Ceylon.
It grows to 40 meters in height
Pandy leaves, shed during drought.

Flowers large, bright red, single or in several. Pollinated by both birds and bats.
Fruits are elongated capsules filled with white fluff.
