Bauhinia Purpurea

Bauhinia Purpurea is a small, beautiful, tropical tree from Southeast Asia.

It grows to 5 meters in height

The leaves are wide, rounded, alternate and two-lobed at the base and apex. They are also used in medicine.

The fruit is a 30 cm long pod containing 12 to 16 seeds.

The flowers are very attractive, pink and fragrant, with five petals.

Bauhinia Purpurea grows best when planted in fertile, moist and well-drained soil. It does not particularly care about the type of soil, as it can grow in sandy, clay or gravel soil. It prefers a sunny position.
