Alstonia scholaris

Alstonia scholaris is a large tree found in Asia

It reaches up to 40 m in height

Attractive leaves, dark green on top, lighter and grey-green on the bottom, gathered in circles of 3-10 pieces. Set on 1-3 cm long petioles.

Greenish-white flowers, gathered in dense tops with hairy peduncles.

It has medicinal properties

The fruits are long and even follicles containing oblong seeds

Alstonia scholaris requires fertile clay soil, well-drained. It prefers a sunny position.
